    D4 vs VVTi

Is the Vista/Premio 2.0L D4 Engine also a VVTi? The Engine in 3S-FSE WITH D4 (only) written on it. Please I need a reply urgently. Is it more fuel efficient than the 1.8L VVTi (1ZZ-FE) Vista Engine? Toyota says the VVTi-D4 is 8% more fuel efficient than the VVTi alone. I need to know are all D4's already VVTi's? or are they an improvement over VVTi?
