Engine hydrolock any idea on how much it would cost to fix

ok so i called the repair place and they quoted me $1200 for the complete swap... but like u said, im not sure if it'll just drop in that easily.... im afraid that it won't work in the end... would it be easier if i just bought the engine and swapped the head myself??? my engine is toast because when i tried to start it a couple of days after i got water, i think something blew into my oil pan... one if the side walls of my oil pan was cracked n all of my oil leaked through.... any ideas????

BIG MISTAKE. Once you get water into the engine under no circumstances are you to try to start the engine, you have to first drain the water, replace all fluids inside, because the engine didnt have oil to move around the cylinder and water is more dense, it put alot of strain on the engine causing a cylinder to crack and break. Now your out an engine. Find a reputable shop that swaps out an engine.
